Graupner Angels. It's a long process to go from an idea on paper to the finished Angel you see. Turned wood blanks made of birch, maple or spruce native form the basis for the delicate items. Drop by drop the glue is carefully measured out and slowly added to the figure under the skillful hands of artisans to create the final shape. With a steady hand, they now get their fine painting with ,clothes painted, drawn red cheeks and merry eyes and a sly smile added one at a time. What results from all this attention to detail are fine figures of distinctive character - artistic originals in a contemporary shape, made in the living tradition of the Erzgebirge region.
We offer some cute sets for Christmas and a number of pieces that are suitable for display all year.
