Bright Star Fairies and Mermaids

Over the years, the basic themes and qualities have remained the same. I want to awaken peoples' imagination, bring back some sense of romance, of chivalry.
I feel it's important to continue doing one-off pieces, rather than join the mass-production brigade. There are enough people churning out things in their millions.
From being a child, I had been fascinated by the fairytale side of life. I was always the one who found the empty conker shell and expected to find Thumbelina curled up inside! And dragonflies were elves, and princes always came. When I did not find them I thought I would make them instead, just as I would want them to be...
So here they are, the fairies, the mermaids, the code of chivalry, the hopes and dreams............

This happens to be my favorite piece .I really shouldn't get attached to what I sell but as happens with some of these things I do. Its a gem. Size about 6 inches.
