Sian Leeper
Originally a freelance art potter and designer working both sides of the Atlantic, Sian is one of Moorcroft's most prolific designers, who can also both paint and tubeline her own work. A specialist in designs featuring animals and birds, she has brought forward images ranging from polar bears to lions: from gorillas to elephants. In parallel, Sian has mastered the art of structured design, starting with Cleopatra Blues in 2001, and moving on to Sophie Christina in 2002. Another 2002 range, Tembusu, has organic qualities, very much in the Moorcroft tradition. Her limited editions in the 2002 Moorcroft catalogue, Ranthambore, Champerico and South Pacific will be hard to find. Sian is an outdoor fanatic. This year she walked, climbed and rafted across Guatemala for her summer holiday!
