Shirley Hayes

Shirley Hayes
A quiet, but ever-present Design Studio success, Shirley first appeared in a Moorcroft catalogue in 2000 with Palmata, originally described as a 'cult' range, but three years later still selling strongly. For 2001, Pheasant's Eye was strongly collected, with lamps a special favourite. In the same year, Shirley's Florida Star was Moorcroft's best-selling enamel range. For 2002, Shirley will almost certainly see her powerful and innovative Saadian move among the most popular designs for the year. Her love of the Islamic colour palette manifests itself in Saadian as well as in her finely-structured limited edition, Bukhara. Shirley is innovative in her approach to design as well as being an accomplished ceramic artist in her own right.
