Philip Gibson
Originally from Wedgwood where he had the unique opportunity to work with the late Susie Cooper, Phil has a string of design successes for Moorcroft behind him. Simeon, introduced at the millennium, is still highly sought after, while two of his 2001 limited editions, Chatsworth and Cavendish, already command a premium in the secondary market. For 2002, Phil has created Pasque Flower, a design in shades of ochre, red, purple and blue. In the wings, a fish design stands in waiting, while 2001 special designs for retailers have all sold out. They include The Tempest, Wenlock Edge and Himalayan Orchid. As a hobby, Phil enjoys rock climbing on both sides of the Atlantic.
