Zardozi Embroidered Love and Special Occasion Ornaments
These unique Christmas decorations are made using the traditional method of zardozi embroidery.
Zari (meaning gold) embroidery originated in Persia and reached India in the 12th century.
It is a highly skilled embroidery technique that traditionally used gold wires and jewels to embellish courtly robes.
Here those same techniques are used to great effect in producing fine Christmas ornaments.
There are a limited number of such skilled artisans today who can create these challenging pieces.

The traditional Irish ring given to represent love, loyalty and friendship is shown here in emerald green and decorated with Celtic knots and shamrocks.
Each of the three motifs included in the Claddagh ring has its own meaning.
Heart: The heart is the central feature of the ring. As you might suspect, the heart represents love.
Crown: The crown is a traditional symbol of royalty. In this case, the crown is a symbol of loyalty.
Hands: The hands that come together to hold the heart and the crown above represent friendship.
