Our Cornish tin mine has been
inspired by the many ruins of these
most enigmatic reminders of
Cornwall's rich mining heritage. One
mine in particular caught the eye of
our artists, Wheal Coates Tin Mine,
situated just north of the pretty
cove of Chapel Porth.

Norfolk - East Anglia
Designed by Henry Bell and built by Sir John Turner in 1685, this was described by Pevsner 'as
one of the most perfect buildings ever built'. The arches of the ground floor would have originally
been open to allow traders to set up their stalls under cover, but were filled in when the building
became a custom house in 1718. It now houses the town's Tourist Information Centre and
Maritime Display.
