Welcome to Dartington Pottery
The Pottery is now owned and managed by Stephen Course and Sue Cook. They specialise in high fired reduction stoneware, a process invented in China some 2000 years ago and avoided by industry because it is so hard to control. The results can, however, be spectacular and unique, giving an unsurpassed quality to the glazes that cannot be achieved by other techniques. The Pottery continues to produce tableware, special editions and individual work from invited artists using Dartington's facilities.
